Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has today dismissed Kipchumba Murkomen’s allegations that she is leading a revolt in the Jubilee party with an aim of betraying the Deputy President.
Speaking in a Nairobi Hotel today, Waiguru has outrightly described Kipchumba Murkomen as a noisy politician who must be ignored at all costs. She has further warned the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator against dragging her name in small matters.
“I have repeatedly said that I am more of a technocrat than a politician. Murkomen must cease from looking for attention with my name as I am not his equal in any aspect” Waiguru said.
Recently, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator had threatened to call for disciplinary action against Anne Waiguru for disrespecting the Deputy President. Murkomen linked the internal wrangles in the Jubilee party to the Kirinyaga Governor.
Waiguru has urged politicians to support the handshake and shun from divisive politics. “We are going to achieve development in this country if only we work in unity. We must refuse to be swayed by cheap politics from the enemies of peace and progress” Waiguru added.
Governor Anne Waiguru has promised to join President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga in the building bridges initiative.
